Post pictures of your lever action rifles.  I'll post a picture of my PUMA 92 as soon as I can decide which one to get.

44 Marlin with 16" barrel-yeah, I know.  It's got one of them new-fangled telescope things on it.  One day I looked at the iron sights and I realized they turned into hair-balls.  HAD to scope it to get clean kills.

Got a real deal on this pre-64 because the "collectors" hated the stock carving.  The longer I have it, the more it grows on me.

I wonder who did the carving??

I have a Revelation Model 200 (Western Auto Stores housebrand Marlin 336) in 30-30 and a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington.  Here are two pictures of my Marlin 444S.  This year I did not get a shot opportunity on elk.  In 2006 and 2007 I took an antelope, a nice mule deer buck, and two elk with the 444.

With a Weaver K3 mounted in Weaver base/rings the 444 Marlin took this raghorn bull in 2007 at a range of 51 paces with 265 gr. Hdy. Interlock FN handload.

This year I carried the Marlin 444 for elk with Williams FP receiver sight and gold bead front sight and reload of 300 gr. Hdy. HP/XTP at 1800+ fps MV.  Alas, no shot opportunities developed.  Today I sighted it in for my practice reloads, 240 gr. Hdy. HP/XTP.  At 100 yards it grouped 2.35" CTC for three shots from the bench with the iron sights.

Nice collection, salvo.

jcn59, I think the "gold thing" is a brass peep sight made by Tim Skinner (www.skinnersights.com).  Lots of folks on the Marlin Owners forum speak highly of Tim and his sights.  BTW, if my son were to use his initials and birth year he would be jcn69.  :)

Like WyoStillhunter said it is a brass Skinner peep sight on the 1894 Marlin.
The first one is called Pugslie, the only gun I have ever given a name too. Started life as a 1895 Guide Gun. I did a wright up of all the work I have done to it, you can find it here:

It kicks like a mule but has got to be the funnest gun to shoot.
