Model 37
« on: December 06, 2008, 02:47:33 AM »
I love hunting with single shot shotguns.  I'm going to look for a Model 37 at the gunshow this morning.

Cool Swampy, try to get one of the Red Letter models made between 1937 and the 1960s.

I wasn't able to find one but I did bump into an old friend that knows where a 20 guage is for less than $200.00.  I'm going to take a look at it.

I went and picked it up tonight.  It was made in the late 1950s and the guy had bought it new.  It's in pretty good shape.  He said he had taken hundreds of squirrels with it.  His dad would give them 3 shells and they were expected to bring home 3 squirrels.

Sounds like a nice rig with a great history behind it. Post some pictures of it if you get the chance. Love those old Winchesters.
