Ultra Slug Hunter first kill
« on: December 04, 2008, 11:05:15 AM »
Tagged a nice spike horn Monday morning opening day in Massachusetts. Took a difficult shot at 50yds that i wouldn't have taken with any other shotgun. The accuracy of the USH gave me the confidence to make the shot.Overall i am very very happy with the USH. ;D

 What slug did you use?

Why is this deer wearing a leash? ;D

Glad you got that one, his eyes look possed ;)

Good job, there is some meat for the freezer.

I used Hornandy SST 20 Gauge

Ok Ill come clean he was tied to a tree when i shot him (Joking)

The Strap is a hurricane strap , i use it to drag deer it works great , you loop it around the head and the front 2 legs and they drag real easy.

The shot was from the front , he was standing behind the v of a tree showing me only a little of his head and the chest area at 50 yds downhill . So i put a round right between the front legs through the heart .He went 20 feet and collapsed . He had a blood trail Ray Charles could follow (not that he went far ) .Bullet went through the heart  and out the rib cage at the bottom . So much for all the people telling me that a 20 gauge is not enough for deer .

In my opinion (not that it matters) The 20ga USH teamed with SST slugs is enough gun for virtually any creature in North America.. They hit em hard Dad!
If you plan to steal from my property, be sure to give your soul to God for I will take your ass.
