I’m the happy owner of a Puma 92 in 44mag. I used it last season and I loved it, but I did notice something. I think I need to do a thorough cleaning and especially work on the feed tube.
The rifle holds 10 rounds, and some days I would put all 10 rounds in and other days I’d only put in 5 or 6. I noticed that on the 6-8 round in the tubes I would occasionally run into a problem getting the round out of the tube and into the receiver when unloading the gun. This jam was easily fixed by tapping the end of the buttstock to get that last round to set. In all fairness to the gun it was always freezing out, but still if I need to know that my next round is going to chamber with that rifle when I take it hunting.
Is there any clever way to clean out the feed tube without completely taking apart the rifle? Is there anything I need to keep my eye out for while I do that?
