im thinking of getting my 12 year old son a sidekick for christmas, can you still buy them new or are they discontinued? and how are thes guns for beginners. the reviews seem good. thanks denny

Unfortunately they're no longer made, Cabelas was the last to offer them in their Heritage version, but even that's no longer available. :'(  You can still get Huntsman accessory barrels fitted to any SB1 shotgun or SB2 rifle frame made since 1987 tho.

Where are you located?  I can tell you the location of a Cabela's store that still had a few on the store shelf last time I was there.
