Youth Sportster
« on: December 17, 2008, 12:16:46 PM »
I just ordered a .22 youth sporter for my Grandson. We do a lot of our Deer hunting with muzzleloaders and open sights, so I thought the single shot rifle would be good practice for him. He will be joining me next year for our Deer hunt, so lots of shooting is in order. He will shoot the .22 all summer, then switch to a .50 cal round ball muzzleloader.

  That's a good choice Snowshoe,

If you get him one of the NEF muzzleloaders he'll be familiar with it as well.

Sorry Rusty, we only use side locks and round balls. He will get to use my wife's Traditions Deerhunter. It is a nice little .50 cal, that weighs in at 6 lbs, and shoots very nice.
