I haven't taken any with the Handi, but have 2 other rifles, 16" Trapper and 454 92 that has mostly hot 45 colts run thru it. Think of it as a mini 45-70 coming out of a rifle barrel if it's loaded to published limits for the TC and Ruger. I use LilGun in mine and did use H-110 alot before. The right bullet with those loads and I would have no problem taking an Elk out to 100 yards. (In season and with tag of course
). 44 mag or 45 colt hot load, couldn't tell the difference on either end of the gun. DP
