TC custom shop barrel question

A friend and I were discussing buying a barrel from a friend that is a TC custom shop barrel. The barrel is a 7-30 waters ,21" ,gloss finish and target crown.  I have seen barrels exactly like it except they didn't have Custom shop stamped on the side.

 What do you gain with a TC custom shop barrel?
 Are they really a better grade of barrel? ???

I don't think they are better,I think they are the same as any other tc barrels
Just the custom shop you can get chambers not offered in the catalog or in stores.
I have a custom shop 30-30 26" barrel for encore they offer lots of encore barrels to buy over the counter but not 30-30

Already mentioned above, chamberings not offered factory, but also lengths and tapers are an option thru the custom shop. I have 3 custom shop barrels, 1 shoots good, 2 shoot excellent. I have no complaits with mine.

If you are interested in the good stuff (Shilen barrels and nice chambers), check out MGM.
