I have a new Henry and want to develop a load for it using hard cast lead bullets.  What bullet diameter seems to work the best?

I don't have a henry, but I have a puma and talked with guys hunting with the marlins.  For the most part everyone I've talked to hunting with a 44mag rifle has had the best accuracy results with hornady 240gr HP XTP bullets.  I can personally testify about how well they work on deer.

I would call Henry and find out what diameter the they make the bore. I know of a few guys that shoot NEF rifles and get poor results with the .429 bullets when they've tried them in their .430/.431 barrels.
