handi 223 barrel twist

if i order a new 223 barrel will it ba a 1 in 12 like my old one ?
i am looking for a faster twist for heavier bullets.

Current production is 1:9" only, except possibly the Superlight, but I think they used up all of the 1:12" run of those.

What a Putz I am, Tim!  I read your comment yesterday about ejector vs. extractor barrels on .223 SLs.  Mine's an extractor barrel and I just assumed it had a 12" twist rate (without ever checking).  Got out the old rod last evening and actually measured and, of course, it's a 9" gun after all.  My capacity for getting things wrong never ceases to amaze.  (Don't think I'll take up playing with hand grenades).

Makes me wonder how this gun might handle the 62 gr. TSX. ;)

Don't feel bad, trying to keep up with .223 twist rates is confusing to say the least!! They've switched back and forth so much, they couldn't even tell us!  ;D

thanks tim i am in the process of ordering 5 different new barrels from h&r . a new 223, 243 bull fluted, 308 bull ,44 mag, and 30-06.
I currently have a 223 ultrta with a 24" 1in12 although it was made in
2004 with a choate plastic stock and the forearm with the bi-pod rail.
