Thank you for giving us this link. This lady makes very good sense and has some excellent points. I intend to send it to most of the people in my address book. I have had 2 liberal relatives recently block my emails because they didn't like my opinion. Too bad. I will likely irritate many more before I quit.
I have recently been taking a hard look at where I stand, and what my action would be, on the gun control issues that may arise with this new administration. I feel that one of two or more things will happen... (1) The new administration will be too busy with the economy issues to worry about new gun control at all (hopeful, but not likely). (2) They will be intellegent enough to realize that open attempts at gun control will cause too much nationwide resistance and they will just tax ammo out of reach for the common person. This may include a retroactive tax of some sort on the reloading supplies many of us already have. Very likely IMO. (3) The administration will give you the choice of turning in all weapons/ammo or becomming a felon. There is a fourth possibility, which would be some reason to declare martial law and the law enforcement troops, whether local or federal, will just come into your house in the middle of the night and disarm you. This would be on an individual, house-to-house basis before an armed resistance could be formed and could be accomplished before the proliberal media got around putting the news out nationally.
In all truth, I really can't say what I'd do untill the time comes. I do not favor firing on law enforcement or the U.S. Military that I now support. On the other hand, I do not believe that I could survive either prison or a consentration camp at my age. I also know that I do not make a good victim. Like many of us, I also have young children that would need even more protection in the worst case senerio. Would I be helpful to them if captive or dead? Would it matter? Like others have pointed out, firearms are not the only weapons of a resistance force and, in fact, may be the least effective. Otherwise, why would many terrorists use bombs?
My constant prayer is that I will not have to find out and that we will be able to overcome both internal and external enemies in a peaceful manner and that our government will chose to remain rich, corrupt, and safe by leaving us alone. God save us from sheepals, oppressors, and the rest, but keep your powder dry anyway.
