Will this effect my accuracy?
« on: December 20, 2008, 10:02:06 AM »
I have an Encore 209x50 with a blued barrel.  I haven't fired it in about 2 years because I got my deer early last year with my bow.  I'm going to shoot it tomorrow to see if it's still on.  When I took it out of the safe today I notice a spot of rust right on the crown of the barrel.  I have no idea how this got there as the gun was wiped with oil before I put it away and it's stored in a safe with a dehumidifier rod.  I took a brass brush to it and was able to remove the rust but it does look as though it has removed some of the finish.   So what do you think, will it have any impact? Maybe I should just buy a new Encore Pro Hunter  ;D
