I put on the new forearm that I just received from Brownell's and I have a question. I mounted it on my bull-barrel .308, but when I tighten it, it pushes against the barrel. I sanded the barrel groove, and it fits well until I tighten the screw pretty tight. However, if I place 2 rubber o-rings on the barrel stud, it fits perfectly, and I can place a business card between the wood and the barrel from top to bottom. The forearm has some movement in it with this setup, so I don't know if this will work on a long-term basis. I've not shot it with this set up, so I wanted to ask the group's opinion of placing the double o-rings under the wood as a fix. Any thoughts?
