Has nef/remington improved their workmanship ?
« on: December 17, 2008, 12:33:45 AM »
I'm thinking of sending 2 barrels back because they are loose on lockup. Has anyone delt with them recently. Their work was less than desirable since they changed hands. I don't want to send in to have the barrels refitted if they still have their quality controll problems !! ???

I can't provide anything worthwhile on the matter of barrel fitting but I will give the CS peps in NC a gold star in sending me a scope mounting base a few days back.  Very nice guy and the base was here shockingly fast.  Guess the USPS should get honorable mention.

I'm interested in replys to the OP since I've been thinking about a new barrel for my son's rifle.

Jonny why not follow the FAQ instructions and fix it yourself? I did one last week, my first barrel fitting and it locks up like ft. knox now compared to how sloppy it was  :D
I can't wait till the weather improves a little here to try it out. Not hard to do at all.

Sounds easy , but I'll all thumbs when it comes to stuff like that. Than I fear that the factory won't repair it since I messed it up.
