Choate stock
« on: December 19, 2008, 10:00:23 AM »
I checked out the Choate Varmint stocks on their web site. Do they come with everything you need to install them and are they easy to put on?

I say something about being able to adjust the height of the rear stock so you can line up with high rise scopes which I would definitely need seeing as my scope is so high because of the hammer.

You guys use a cheek piece to give you extra heighth?
There's nothing like the sound of the bullett taking out it's target.

Choate offers a high and standard cheek risers for the Varmint stock, they're bolt ons, not part of the stock as you buy it. I don't like high mounted scopes, so I modify the hammer to use medium or low rings, or use a scope that is more Handi friendly, see the FAQs on those topics, they're all covered in detail.
