The last day...
« on: January 31, 2009, 10:31:27 AM »
:( Today is the last day of deer season, and I just ain't up to going. My Dad died on the 28th, and I'm a bit down right now...He was a retired GySgt in the Marines, and was 83.

My condolences but he lived a long life and no doubt a good one. With the way the world is heading these days I have to wonder if those now gone aren't better off than those of us still here.

I spent the last day much as I did the entire season not going out. This is two of the last three years I've not hunted a single day and have gone deer hunting only three days in the last four seasons. It's beginning to look like I've quit doesn't it?

I was talking to my wife the other day about my dad and grandfathers being gone.  I told her that I was glad that there gone from this world. Because of the things to come.  My condolences to you and your family.

Thanks. He's had his share of troubles and then some extra in the last five years, and lived a full life...
