I am going to change a 22 inch smooth bore slug barrel (rem 1100)  to a 22 inch  interchangeable choke barrel. My daughter FINALLY wants to hunt with dad so I think this will be the least costly way to go as money is tight now. She will end up with a very good gun and I will be the happyiest dad in the world!! Now I need a good gunsmith around warren ohio to do the job. I talked to the gunsmith at gander mntn. He will do the THREAD ONLY  for 100.00.  Does that sound high or am I living in the past? Any thoughts on this or other gunsmiths to try would be great. THANKS FOR THE HELP !! GOOD HUNTIN!!

For what the job will cost plus some choke tubes you can likely just buy a barrel that already has choke tubes. If you locate a used one you'll come out cheaper. Why not post a want to buy in the general classifieds here asking for one.
