I have the fluted 22-250 Ultra, but the only thing I've killed is paper, 50gr Vmax and H4895 gets me <1" 100yd groups.

I got the same barrel but it's on a buffalo Classic (not a bench rest gun

)
I was shooting 55 grain bulk Winchester bullets to around 1" at 100 yards. Last bag I bought was 50 grain to see what I could do with a lighter bullet. I also use H4895. If you reload, I know mine shows pressure signs before hitting the max load in the books.
What I like is how flat shooting the 22-250 is. You can get away with a good distance before you need to adjust the scope. I bought mine to replace a 17HMR I used to have. I think it's cheaper to reload the 22-250 then by ammo for the 17HMR.
