Savage 99E

Got a chance at a (I think) later production 99E in .243. Not pristine, just good shape.
Serial number B6378xx. I assume it was made in 1971-82 period. Anybody narrow it down better than that ?

My records indicate your rifle was manufactured in mid-1974.   :)
