From what I know on the subject and that is very little is that you buy a converted primer nipple that has been converted to take a 25 acp pistol shell and use a small pistol primer in the shell and insert that into the converted nipple instead of the regular 209 primer. In my opinion you are spending money for something that you do not need as the gun was designed to use the 209 primers. From the ads on the conversion you are looking at 25 to 35 dollars to get the conversion then you have to come up with some empty 25 acp cases and a deprimer and priner tool to install the primer in the cases. The only advantage that I can see any way is that you are not fumbiling around with a small primer when loading. Some say you get better ignition and no miss fires but if you use cci 209 primers you dont have that problem any way. There has been a number of topics on this on some of the other forums so you might do a search and go from there.
Others will have their opinion so get all the facts and then deside what you think is best in your case. At one time I was ready to go for the conversion but then I thought why do it, the gun goes bang ,the bullet leaves the barrel, I hit the target so why spend the money, MTCW or in this case maybe 25 cents :) :)

To my knowledge, miss-fires have never been the issue with the 209 priming system.  Fliers have been.  The standard 209 primer is relatively hot and the theory is that the force of the primer lifts the sabot and bullet off of the powder before ignition.  This creates a space between bullet and powder which causes erratic accuracy(i.e. fliers).
I've used the system (both .22hornet case and 25acp case)for maybe 8 years now with good success.  The handling is an advantage(especially for fumble fingers like mine), I get zero blowback(fowling) in my action, and accuracy is outstanding.  Granted my Encore shot very good before, but I did get the occasional flyer.  GOOD SHOOTIN', Walt  :)

Actually it is a small rifle primer in a .25 acp shell. I have had very good luck with mine also in an encore 209x50. Some will say it is a solution to a non problem but I have seen tighter groups from using it and as mentioned earlier, easier handling especially in cold weather.

Start using blackhorn 209 powder and regular 209 primers. You won't ever look back ;)
