NEF .223 handi price check?

If a guy can get a .223 heavy barreled handi for $250.00 or a few dollars less total cost, is this decent? This is new price from a local dealer.

Yep, that is a good price for a plain 223 with 22" barrel, at least around here. I saw one like that for $250 + 7% tax. 44 Mags and 500 S&W were selling for $300 +tax around here, because they are legal deer rounds in Indiana. I am sure someone will chip in that they can get one for $200, but I can't find such deals unless I order one from a big house and pay FFL transfer fees making it almost as expensive.
