I am not new to GB and some of you may know me
from the TC and reloading forums.
Anyway,my neighbor has an SKS he would like to sell me.
I know nothing about them and have a few questions.
It is a Chinese, Norinco 6
36. all #s match.
Seems to be in good condition and not show a lot of use.
Comes with a composite tactical stock, bipod and scope rail.
These after market items are where my first problem comes into play.
The factory rear site is below the level of the scope rail making it useless.
Also the stock has an adjustable cheek welt which even in the lowest position is to high to use the factory sites.
I did not think I wanted to put a scope on it but can not use it the way it is.
The receiver cover which the scope rail is attached moves back and forth a bit
which seems like a worthless way to mount a scope since it could move POI.
What would you Guys do, suggest?
Thanks,
Mike
