The all pourpose burritto
« on: April 01, 2009, 02:52:29 PM »
In mid life I moved to the NM desert where the taco & burrito was the king of foods. I adopted the mexican way of feeding myself while traveling. Many times I left home with a ice chest full of Burrittos, chericho & egg for breakfast, diced deer and potato for lunch, perhaphs beef and green chilie for supper. Whatever the meat it was always mixed with chihies. And usually potatoes or beans. Ahh the ever present pinto beans.

Life was good, you could eat them cold for breakfast washed down with hot, black coffee. Or you could warm them on a rock by the fire. I loved the chilies and the all pourpose burritto. Still do. Regards,

Yup. The flour tortilla is a versaitile thing; one of my favorite camping foods. You can wrap just about anything up in one and eat it with one hand.

Refried beans make for a tasty edible 'glue' to hold it all together...
