I am curious if anyone else has been inspected by the ATF in respect to their C&R license [yet]? I was last week. The agent was very courteous and helpful, ESPECIALLY when he saw that my bound book is set up properly and my paper records easy to follow. I have had my C&R for 9 years. He told me that ATF simply was not doing C&R inspections previously, but now there is a push to do them. Gee....I wonder where that came from?
Mine was the 3rd one done in CT. They are particularly looking for non-qualifying pieces, proper records, and NFA pieces that are not registered. He gave me a very nice booklet to help me ID NFA qulaifying guns, so that I would not inadvertantly obtain one, unregistered......
It might be a good idea to be absolutley sure that everything is in order BEFORE they call you to make the appointment. I was actually ready, but when they called to make the appt, I still went into an emotional tizzy until that day came and went.
