Specs. on new bow!

I need some info on selecting a traditional bow,like limb width,bow length, recurve or longbow,type of wood ,poundage etc...your expertise will be helpfull...thanks!!

personal preferance is best choice here!  I personally like the long bow 50lbs@28" other will like something else it is totally your choice. but dont over Bow yourself, you want one that is comfortable pulling and holding untill you can make that  perfect shot.

Starr, that all depends on a lot of things like your draw length, what poundage you want. What kind of wood you think looks pretty to you ect. But if you have around a 28 inch draw  I would check out e-bay and get a 60 inch long recurve , 45-50lbs. bow  real cheap to start out with. Before you spend a big load of cash for something you won't be happy with... I would then check on the web for Traditional Archery shops and find out about trad. shoots in your area. The guys at these shoots are real friendly and will be happy to let you try out their bows. I don't think you'll meet any nicer people in the world than at a trad.shoot....
