Gold has been the standard of currency for centuries. Not the US ,, though(1971) If memory serves.. a 100 dollar bill(IOU) only cost .5 cents to produce.. anyways ,, besides the econimic lesson.. Gold.... well someone has to have a use for it. Someone must want it! for what ever reason. Gold will probaly always be valuable. But just what is it worth without someone else with more, than you! willing to trade something you need! You can't eat it. Drink it! defending you hut with a gold club,, requires a well fed, muscle bound young man. The metal makes poor tools. Too soft except for butter knives and spoons.. Irony.. a silver spoon is far better! However..Guns , Knives, Clubs, Knowledge. Faith , compassion,, are far more valuable. 2 ounces gold vrs. a good rifle..,, I'll take the rifle.
To play with a gun.. so to speak.. means proveing its function and accuracy,, while training you to use it. So both play and investment! Rolled into one. Buy a freeedom loving, good hearted young man or woman a good rifle and it will be an investment in freedom! and America>
