I have an old 8X Unertl scope on a highwall. Although is keeps perfect zero the vertical crosshair is wavy, kind of like a mild S shape. Also there is some sort of peeling or chipping around the outer edge of the lens. About a year ago or so I called Unertl and they said that they were not reconditioning older scopes at that time due to a retirement of an employee. They said to contact them at a later date as they may be doing it again. Over the last couple of of months I have e-mailed them a couple of times but have not received a reply. Does anyone know their status concerning older scopes? Any other place to get this done and what kind of cost I might expect?
