Well, the NM Game and Fish drew early again this year.  Got good and bad news.  Bad news is I won't be hunting antelope or deer.  The good news is that I'll be chasing elk and javelina.  Get to hunt something at least!

HEEHAAA I drew out for elk in unit 9 with the bow,went scouting this past week-end saw a heard of 13 cow & 5 bulls ...lets see now ...wondering where to put that fresh cut bale of alfalfa!!! Which unit is your hunt ?

We'll be over in unit 15 chasing cows with a muzzleloader.  Should be a fun hunt, with a pretty decent chance of putting some meat in the freezer.  I keep threatening to get back into bowhunting - if I just got more vacation!

Heck,I hunted 15 -B for 8 yrs. straight,always found them at Cat springs ,youll get lots of hunting pressure in that area,check out Apache Mt. also ...and good luck.... 8)
