Friday afternoon I went to a friends farm to scout for coyotes and do some re zeroing of some rifles.
I had put a scout scope on my .357 Handi to use as my back up hog gun. Much better at 75 yards.
I had changed the stock on my .22 Hornet Handi. Went from 1-1/4 inch at 75yds to .835. This was with a 45gr hand load I had been using. I ran out of that load to soon. I had some 35 gr loads I had tried before and did not think were that good. Well I tried them anyway. 3 groups of 3 shots. .546inch--.601inch--.469inch. Guess what I will be loading from now on. The stock change was from a Tupperware to wood with a washer on the forearm.
All shooting was off an old bench using a rolled up blanket as a front rest under the hing pin.
I now have to get the .223 to do as well.
I did find some coyote signs and will be calling them soon.
