Zeiss Conquest 3-9 and Weaver Grand Slam 3-9
« on: December 03, 2008, 05:29:13 PM »
My Zeiss is a little fussie about being lined up straight behind it.  I was told that was a feature of Zeiss because it makes you line up straight before you can see the whole view scope edge to edge.  My Weaver is very hunter friendly and I can throw the gun up to my shoulder and even if I am off a bit it is full view.   Both scopes have been set to see a full view where I bring the gun up to my shoulder.  The Zeiss glass is better glass and I use it for longer shots in blinds.  The Weaver is my walk and stalk gun because it comes up open to view no matter where it hits my shoulder.  I like both scopes but for the difference in price the Weaver Grand Slam is one hell of a scope!   Buckfever

I don't have the Weaver Grand Slam, but I have noticed the same thing about my Conquest making you line up straight.  Put it on my 257 Weatherby as that is my long range rifle and can take the time to get er lined up with out a problem.  DP
