What scope mount ?

Anyone have any recomendations for scope and or mount on a 10 " tapered encore in .44 rem. mag?

Leupold mount and leupold 2.5x8 scope.

Barrel only has two screw holes under the rear sight , Do the scope mounts need to have two more holes drilled and tapped or are they a do it your self at home kind of thing?

I wouldn't do it yourself unless you have the machinery to do it X-act!! You sould contact thompson center!!! they will let you know!!!

Send the barrel to SSK and have them mount a T'SOB  and use 3 rings. It's the cheapest most dependable way.
I recommend a 2X Leupold, although a 4X will also be satisfactory. No more magnification than 4X is necessary, or even desireable, on a .44 Magnum in my view.
Although Steve P. recommends a 2.5-8X Leupold, they're far too heavy on a 10" .44 Mag. in my opinion.
