32 RF Long
« on: January 20, 2009, 11:21:30 AM »
Would it be possible to get a barrel in 32 rim fire long made for my SS1 22 mag frame?  Or would the firing pin hit the round in the center and not break the primer ring?

Because the fireing pin on the RF Handi's hit on the very edge of the rim of a 22 Mag, I think that a .32 RF would still work out OK.  I have a .32 RF revolver and the ammo is not all that much bigger in diameter.  Only problem is the price of the .32 Longs, but you can get them.  Larry

A pure guess, upon first thought, is that the difference may be too great between .22RF and .32RF if a .22RF barrel was simply re-lined or rebored to .32RF.  But, I don't have either so I'm just speculating.

It is certainly possible to have a barrel made.
