January 22, 2009, Good Afternoon Montana

Good afternoon everyone!  Temperature has been dropping all day, it's 7 degrees right now and gently snowing.  It's been snowing all day, big soft fluffy flakes.

When it started this morning I jumped in my truck and made a quick trip to my buddy house up in Sunburst.  Left town in a screaming blaizzard, visability was less than 100 yards. About 10 miles out of town I broke out the snow and had nothing but wind to deal with all the way.

Delivered the primers I picked up for my friend, had a cup or two of coffee and head for home, just as the blizzard I left behind out Cut Bank, hit  Sunburst.     Just before I left my friends house he hand a big bag full steaks formthe Bison he got this fall.

Heading south I ran out of the blizzard about 4 Corners and just let the wind push me on home.

Just another day that explains why it's so great living in Montana.

Nice day in my part of the state, currently about 30 degrees.

Best news is I'm feeling much better, been down with a nasty virus for the last 3-4 days.

Double D, my old college roomate was from the Cut Bank area, Santa Rita.  Went up to visit him one summer.  We drove down to Valier to hang out at the lake/reservoir, never seen so many grasshoppers in my life, the road was literally moving with them. (This was 20 something years ago)
