Time for drastic action on global warming?
« on: January 28, 2009, 02:56:39 AM »
I just read that. Seems the weather guys are predicting if we don't do massive changes right now the effects of global warming may last a 1000 years.

I tell you, I have a hard time believing predictions like this when they can't even get a five day forecast right for more than a day. Out of the last seven days they have hit the high temperature within two degrees once. Low temps, not even close. Last Thursday they predicted a high if 54 with winds at 10-15 miles an hour. At 10 o'clock the wind was blowing 40 miles an hour and the high hit 75 degrees. Last night at 10:20 the weather guy was predicting a low of 23 and it was already 22. This morning it was a nice fresh 15. They did hit the freezing fog for yesterday morning though.

The very reason the "Global Warmers" are changing their strategy--like calling it "Climate Change" and extending their prognostifications to a thousand, or even 3 thousand years is because it's obvious that they don't know what the hell they're talking about and they know it.

I was looking forward to global warming and now I know that was nothing more than a socio-political ploy that had nothing to do with climate concerns.  Certainly, we need to be mindful of our environment, but bankrupting the economy and buying into silly energy schemes is taking it too far, too fast.

I don't think it would be asking too much to require the real proponents of "Climate Change" to show us by example how to be "Green."  First, I would ask them to reduce their personal production of CO2 by a very modest 100%.  I don't know if that would make them green, but just before they expire, they might turn a nice shade of purple.

free choice and equality  can't co-exist
AFTER THE LIBYAN COVER-UP... remind any  democrat voters ''they sat and  watched them die''...they  told help to ''stand down''

many statements made here are fiction and are for entertainment purposes only and are in no way to be construed as a description of actual events.

College professors are the number one enabler of these clowns.  They are having to generate much of their own research funding these days so they are more than happy to justify government grants to study this "silly science".  It is very convenient for them that they are not really answerable to anyone.  When I was in college in the 1968 there was an alarmist trend going around that we were heading into the next ice age.  I must have missed that one when I was in the army.  Seems like it was always warm then.

i am an amateur Genealogist, just for me and family and friends. In my research Ii have had the opportunity to go back in time in old American and some European newspapers back to 1865 and even farther.

You would be surprised at just how many times the scientist with "indisputable facts" cried warning of a "NEW ICE AGE" or "Global Warming" was over taking the world and we were doomed.

At least three times since 1900 we were in a "NEW ICE AGE" and at least twice since that time they said the earth was warming and would not stop.

Christ, those idiots know nothing, we are actually in a cooling cycle as far as global temperatures are concerned. The last time we were in a "mini Ice Age" was 300 years or so ago.

It is something that occurs and will pass...the cycle of life of the planet. There is nothing you or i can do about it.

They have made a lot of money peddling this BS...look at Gore he is making millions touting this crap..he found it pays better that the graft in politics.

I have to laugh that people are so gullible.

Well you dummies, don't ya know the last ice age was caused by mammoth farts! Look where that got them, extinct!  Heck I bet my silly prediction is just as accurate as these treetard bozos predicting global warming form cow farts. The buffalo that covered the plains must have been more polite that these nasty cows.

:D :D :D
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

Nope did not miss it...I have read to much and just simply find their version of the threat of "GLOBAL WARMING" is not the truth.
