I know the g1 and g2 buttstocks are not interchangable but will a G2 forearm work on my Custom shop barrel fitted to a G1 frame?

Most likely.  I only had one that wouldn't out of the pile that I have.  It took 30 seconds with the dremmel to modify the "ears" a little to clear the new parts on the sides of the G2.  The rest all cleared.

If the barrel fits in a standard G1 forend the the G2 should fit also. I'm using the G2 forend on my G1 frame with a SSK barrel and it works fine. I had ask Ed at Ed's contenders about this when I bought the forend from him.

Edit:  I forgot which forum I was in. My barrel and forend are for the 14" handgun but I would still think it will work.

I tried that with my forend and as Keith said you will have to round the back ears on the forend to clear those bump outs that are on the side of G2 which the older contenders do not have other wise they work fine.

I must have ten different forends here, and only one didn't fit up.  And I had what I thought was a twin to it and it did work.

Either way it isn't any real big deal.

I belive he is asking about a G2 Forend and a flat sided G1 Frame so you will not have the raised part of the frame.
