now you tell us you a martial arts instructor..
please tell me what karate shot this is.. strait no body pivot
hit to the collar bone.. dang thing broke it.. i scrapped legal[in the wood] all my life ,never seen a punch like that..if i still had my left jab ,it woulda caught him coming in .. but those were other days only to be remembered..
i knew several punches you never used unless it was life or death..
adams apple shot foor example.. but the collar bone wasnt part of my arsenal..dang effective punch against a man who don t have a sledge hammer left jab. an i sure don t ..slim

yep broke my shoulder clean in the middle ,it turns out.. i saw the exrays first time to day.. funny thing it just felt like a thump to the shoulder.. no pain indications anything was broke.. it later turned blue.. but i still didn t have broke bone pain..after the swelling went down ..
it started moveing around ..that was my first clue something was broke.. doc has me in a harness now to try an avoid a 15.000 pin operation..god willing it will work. thanks for the info..

Did he hit you with a closed fist or an open hand?  If it was an open hand and and hit with the thumb side then he nailed you with a flying ridge hand.  If it was a closed fist then I agree with Rusty.  It only takes 8 to 10 pounds of pressure to break a shoulder.  If he could break through 2 inches of wood which is required of  men 1rd degree and above in the organization of which I trained he could easily have broken it without meaning 2.  Good technique is all it takes and we martial artist tend to forget that sometimes.

heather ,i can t really say.. his hands were a blur.. with the attitude this fella had toward the elderly clerk an myself ,i cant honestly say i think he used any restraint at all. he was an ego looking for some average fella to prove himself on.. ive seen his kind many times ,although they were wt. lifters or amateur boxers..
ive been there myself.. you know you are just better than untrained men an always in better condition..the key to your character is what you do with that knowledge.. this guy has self esteem problems ,im guessing ..but mabe not enough
courage to compete at his on level.. im still trying to find out if he has a fight record.. but its hard to do as they usually use an alias..no one here locally ,ever heard of carl starnes.. carl at one time i wanted to shake your hand as being one heck of a fighter.. but considering who you were agitating that day ,ive reconsidered..if you did that in real competition then my hat would be off to you..slim

I hope the creep that slugged you “may recover’ from the gunshot wound to the middle of the chest!

As a young man I served in a couple of elite groups in the military where extensive hand-to-hand and martial arts were taught, as a graduate of “the Ole Man’s Dirty Fight School” I could do a fairly good job of protecting myself, but that was many years ago.  Today I am not as fast, agile, and take much longer to heal so I no longer engage in fisticuffs, that is why I carry!  Please tell me the creep is near dead. ??? ??? ???

(The old man’s dirty fight school was taught by an old Commander, he stood about 5"7", weighed about 16o and would take on the biggest and best man in the group and usuall came out on top.  He was accomplished in several of the martial arts (Belts), and tried to employ all of them in his teachings.  His philosophy was, if a man is a good barroom brawler he employees all the arts in his technique.)

Slim, did they ever file charges against you?
I'm hoping not,

yes the film shows me walking out behind him.. what it doesn t show is the man said let me put my dog in the truck an we ll talk..
the film also is blurry at the point we came togather.. this because his hands were greased lightening.. .. my attourney has subpeonaed the tape from walmart .. when slowed down its gonna show i never got anything off. at first i thought i must have thrown a left as his right had been a blur.. i though my punch had caved my shoulder in,as its the only way i could figure it got hurt so bad..[it was operated on last yr..] like i said his right just felt like an thump on my left shoulder..but the whole left side turned blue so it must have been harder than i thought..thanks for your concern .. my attourney seems optimistic when we get the film..the clerk no longer works there.. but my attourney doesn t foresee any problem having her subpeonode,as walmart has her records..
the police charged me ,so if i can just get them to slow that tape down ,its gonna tell the story ,as to whether i attacked him..
id rather see the charges dropped.. i have grandkids an i don t want this stuff getting back to them by another kid or something..slim
