Dan Wesson Homemade Barrell wrench"Here they are"
« on: November 19, 2008, 11:57:40 AM »
I said a while ago that I would post a picture of the barrell wrench I made on a lathe, well here they are.. I orginaly made one and misplaced it! So I made another. They are tool(plated) steel, I used a 1/4 inch spring pin as a handle. I wanted to keep it small as not to over touque when assembling. I hardened the tips by Carbon quenching!(used motor oil.. Old dirty diesel engine oil is best. They are probaly better that factory , maybe not as pretty.. But making one is much more fun than just buying one..
Copy paste the link if it is not blue! Of course I included a couple Dan wessons revolvers to spice up the pic! the pic is big so I used photobucket! that way you can Zoom in..
PS..   A Budist went to a hot dog stand and said,,"Make Me One With Everything!"

Nice job! A few of my factory/plastic wrenches are cracking, might have to make one to.
Are there just the knobs for the outer ring or is there some type of bore guide also?

Both are centered bored. I intended to use a bore guide, nylon or something similar but wrench is easy to use with out it. so I decided not to at this time. I guess the bore guide would be helpful in the dark.

If anyone else tries to turn this into a classifieds or business for a non paying sponsor I'll dump the entire thread to trash.

I wasn't trying to turn it into anything.  I only asked a simple question.  I don't see any evidence of anyone else asking (apparently, by your tart response here someone else has asked also), but you could have put a decent message up reminding people that this should not be a thread to ask such questions, instead of biting my head off.
Thanks from the Frozen Northwoods!!!

That still amazes me…I don’t care who you are or how much I care about you, I would never let you kill my son.  I can’t even begin to understand how much He loves us.

I have no idea what is going on here! I made two barrell wrenches for my dan wessons. I was proud of them but now it seems soured. One I thought I had misplaced and made another! now I have an extra! There is little Traffic for us Dan wesson Guys anwhere! One member had some intrest. I was going to share one. I don't need two! I was going to place a print of the ones I have made. I was not even going to sell one! give or trade for something menial.  WTH! I need a break! This has upset me! Talking the weekend off from Graybeard!
