The Newberry, MI Sportsmans Club is sponsoring a predator hunt for fox, coyote and bobcat starting in early February. I don't know all the details and dates as yet, but the prizes are usually varmint rifles.
We have seven road killed deer carcases for bait and put the first out Sunday. A large dairy farming neighbor will also donate and deliver any cows or calves that expire from now til the end of the hunt period. They also own another neighboring farm here in Engadine where they raise sheep. The coyotes are rough on the lambs in the Spring, so they don't mind helping us out.
It should be a very good hunt.
