Blue book value
« on: August 20, 2003, 03:54:35 PM »
The Blue Book has it at $850 at 100%, $685 at 98%, and $550 at 95%.  You can also add $50 - $70 for the magnum caliber, and $35 for long action.  You can add another $80 if it's left handed.

Hope this helps

Earlier this year I bought a used Sako 75 Hunter in .30-06, in what I'd call 95% or better condition, from a private party in Idaho.  It included new in the package Sako Optilock rings.  I paid $600 for it, and thought that was a good deal.  It shoots great.... :P
Regards,

Tom

Yep, the Weatherby caliber cartridges are expensive.  I had a Sako in 7mm Weatherby mag and the cheapest ammo I could find was remington  at $24.00 box.  I sold the rifle, bought a new Sako in 7mm and picked up a reloader.  Dont ask me why I sold the rifle . . . I still dont understand it myself. :?

:D Hey there Shooters,

Yep, that Weatherby brass is expensive. VERY EXPENSIVE!!

However, some new Winchester belted brass and a bit of case forming with your standard loading dies then throw in a bit of trimming and possibly neck reaming or turning and with the exception of the B I G calibers you now have all the "Weatherby" brass you need and at a fraction of  the cost!

Keep em coming!
