I removed my post, because I thought Canadian politics did not belong with an Obama subject. I am too a great friend of the American people, spending two month every year in the south US. God pless America.

There is a host of individuals that are in various Govt executive postions that render an oath of office in presence of a bible and have absolutely no intentions to live up to that oath, so the presence or absence of the bible appears to be meaningless.

You got that right!! Every agency is filled with them.  Elected folks and cabinet members come and go, but high-level bureaucrats and their buddies stay for ever--they are our shadow government, and they operate on the principle that regulations are made to overcome law, and that policy memos from their exhalted pens are made to overrule onerous parts of regulations.  Their kind are a real, self-perpetuating, enemy-from-within.
