I just bought one of these el cheapo scopes to but on a 22lr barrel , Anybody tried one of these ?
I dont think I would try it on a heavy hitting hunting barrel but i figured on a 22 it may work ok.
Anybody have any experiance with them?

yep, got a 2.5x ncstar on my 22/45 5 1/2" bull barrel ruger. it works great so far, with many rounds shot. i also tried a 2x7 on my 30-30 AI, but decided to go with a 2x7 burris on it. i ran out of vertical adjustment on the 2x7 ncstar, but that was the mount, not the scope.

I put the 4x on my 30-30 10" barrel and the 2-7 x on my 6.5 tcu.Everything is going good so far but i don't recomend using the rings that come with scopes.They may hold on rimfire but would not hold on my 30-30 barrel.

Wheelgun, I agree, their rings are JUNK!!!. I have two of the 2x7's. One is on a 6-284 Encore and the other is on a 7-30 Contender. Although field of view is small on 7 power and you must get a little closer to the scope to get a full field of view, I am so far impressed with the performance/price.

Just to offer a contrasting view - JUNK! I am far from an optics snob but these are pure junk, that said on a 22 it may hold up ok but I have my doubts re. repeatability and tracking. I had one, and another and another - each replacing the last that went south on me after never more than 50 rounds fired. It was mounted on a Ruger GP100 6" 357. Each was replaced on warranty but who needs the hassle of returning the scope and then putting up with the wait? A friend had one mounted on a S&W .44 and it survived 4 rounds before the cross hairs vanished. Save your money and get something that is at least worth the price of the box it is shipped in.

Ok I was not going to respond to this but ,, let first note that i would not hunt with a ncstar becouse my t/c scopes are far better on eye relief.. but at the target range on a rest ncstar works fine and i was putting these scopes on a 17,22,22-250 well i wanted to see if they would hold up on a heavy hitter so i put it on a 454 encore and so far it held up 40+ rounds not saying it wont brake the next round i shoot but it held up so far what did not hold up was the rings that came with the scope i had to replace them with millet steel rings .... i say give them a try
