Just wondering if anyone has any experience with warranty work via the TC Custom Shop?  I paid a considerable amount for an engraved SS Pro Hunter frame that had imperfections.  Sent it right back over 2 months ago, UPS showed delivery confirmation, but TCA never even acknowledged receipt of the frame? Finally called today and verified that it is still in the custom shop.

Sure glad my deer and hunting seasons are closed...hope I get it back before the Nov 2009 season opening!

Did get my $25 TCA barrel rebate from S&W this week...took about 12 weeks.

When I've ordered barrels from them, it took 6 to 8 weeks.  Recently, when I had a barrel shortened and a muzzle tamer installed, it took a bit longer.  In addition, they didn't acknowledge the receipt of the barrel as they had in the past.  I also finally called to confirm they actually had the barrel.  I would say they've had a staff cutback or something because they are slower than they used to be.

I have had nothing but good experiences with T/C's custom shop----------------I call 1-800-243-4570 and usually speak to a lady who answers all my questions and doesn't rush me off the phone-----------If it is a question she cannot answer she puts one of the production guys on.
I have to agree T/C may of slipped since S&W bought them and they also had approx 60 lay-offs at T/C BUT I am still happy with them.

I have bought 3 carbine barrels from the custom shop had to send one back because I had asked for tapered and they sent a bull configuration which they took care of right away.

Haven't dealt with them in over 2 years though.

I've had 3 dealing with them. First purchased a 22K-Hornet barrel about 4years ago and was told about a 12week wait, showed up in 7weeks as ordered

Then I got a wild hair for a "Case Harden G2 Frame" for a 45Colt project I had going, took about 4months to get but well worth the wait

Then last year I got another wild hair and wanted an Engraved Encore frame, took about 6weeks to get and am very pleased with the results

Now again I'm getting the urge for another custom Contender G2 carbine so I'm trying to raise funds for another "Case Harden G2 Frame"

Really great looking work the custom shop did for you.  My only experience has been three 300 Whisper barrels they made for my encore and G2.  No complains.  All three are excellent barrels and shoot way straighter than I am capable of.

Update: It's been 3-1/2 months now....still no frame, call or email. I called a couple weeks back..they only said they have it.  I guess I'm being punished for sending it back!  Might be using my NEF single rifle for the Nov 2009 deer season?

I ordered a 22 bull barrell for my contender. Probably been 15 years ago they were then called fox ridge outfitters. The extracto didn't fit properly so I sent it back. It is the worst shooting 22 I have ever seen.
They did send it back quickly though.

Ironic..but rec'd a call from TC Wed...they wanted to know why I sent it back? I enclosed a very detailed note with diagrams and pictures when I shipped it to them months ago.  Not a good sign!
