Bill creates detention camps in U.S. for 'emergencies'
Sweeping, undefined purpose raises worries about military police state

Rep. Alcee L. Hastings, D-Fla., has introduced to the House of Representatives a new bill, H.R. 645, calling for the secretary of homeland #HYPERLINK "http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=87757" \l ""security to establish no fewer than six national emergency centers for corralling civilians on military installations.
The proposed bill, which has received little mainstream media attention, appears designed to create the type of detention center that those concerned about use of the military in domestic affairs fear could be used as concentration camps for political dissidents, such as occurred in Nazi Germany.
Heed the warning of a former Hitler Youth who sees America on the same path as pre-Nazi Germany in "Defeating the Totalitarian Lie" from WND Books!
The bill also appears to expand the president's emergency power, much as the executive order signed by President Bush on May 9, 2007, that, as WND reported, gave the president the authority to declare an emergency and take over the direction of all federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments without even consulting Congress.
#HYPERLINK "http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=41829"As WND also reported, DHS has awarded a $385 million contract to Houston-based KBR, Halliburton's former engineering and construction subsidiary, to build temporary detention centers on an "as-needed" basis in national emergency situations.
(Story continues below)

According to the text of the proposed bill, the purpose of the National Emergency Centers is "to provide temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to an emergency or major disaster."
Three additional purposes are specified in the text of the proposed legislation:
To provide centralized locations for the purposes of #HYPERLINK "http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=87757" \l ""training and ensuring the coordination of federal, state and local first responders;
To provide centralized locations to improve the coordination of preparedness, response and recovery efforts of government, private, not-for-profit entities and faith-based organizations;
To meet other appropriate needs, as defined by the secretary of homeland security.
The broad specifications of the bill's language, however, contribute to concern that the "national emergency" purpose could be utilized by the secretary of homeland security to include any kind of situation the government wants to contain or otherwise control.
Rep. Hastings created controversy during the 2008 presidential campaign with his provocative comments concerning Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
"If Sarah Palin isn't enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention," Hastings said, as reported by ABC News. "Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through."
H.R. 645, which seeks to allocate $360 million for developing the emergency centers, has been referred to the House Committee on Transportation and #HYPERLINK "http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=87757" \l ""Infrastructure and to the Committee on Armed Services

They can lie all they want but the SOLE purpose of these camps and they already have several built is to house dissident US Citizens when they come for your guns and your homes so that obama's priviate military will have somewhere nice to stay.

They know damn well they are planning to turn this country into a worse place than Soviet Russia was or China is today and they also know not everyone is gonna peacefully go along so they are ramping up and getting ready for the big push when it comes.

What folks either fail to understand or refuse to accept is that this is all a planned effort and has been in the planning and implementation phases for decades.

The very rich and more especially the super rich elite have prepared well for this. They have bunkers built mostly with our tax dollars but some with their own funds gotten by screwing over the middle class to house and protect them. They have food, fuel, and water to carry them thru the period of time they expect and have planned for this to last.

The grand plan is about to come to fruition. It calls for killing off most of the human population of the earth and leaving only the bare minimum number of slaves needed to care for their needs. They intend to have the only guns and ammo as well and will be well guarded by their private security forces and protected from whatever means of destruction they have planned for the rest of us by holing up in their private bunkers.

I remember reading a long time ago, that insane people are the happiest people on earth.
They can be in their own world, without seeing or hearing what is going on around them.
In their own mind, they can be anyone they want, wherever they want, and no one cares.  In fact, it is expected.
They give you enough drugs that would make a street junkie turn green with envy.

You're far ahead of me. I'm still wrestling with how the concept of a boondoggle has changed. It used to be that a boondoggle was a waste of time and money differing from fraud in that the parties involved did not know from inception that the project would fail. But today, they know good and well that failure is certain. We either need to re-define what a boondoggle is, or just start calling it fraud.

Um, right. Back when President Bush signed the bill, there were red flags being thrown, saying when the election comes he will just take full control of the government and say in office , keeping his power. ... well that didnt happen. Now there are a few lines in this article that need to be looked at more carefully.

" Rep. Hastings created controversy during the 2008 presidential campaign with his provocative comments concerning Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin."... is this just political hogwash to get votes over to Obama ??

"If Sarah Palin isn't enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention," Hastings said," ... sure sounds like it to me .. remember the "McCain is another Bush " speech ?
there is other language in the article that smacks of propaganda too. but lets not forget that this comes from the World Net Daily.
