Reloaders Reference Software
« on: January 30, 2009, 11:48:26 PM »
You guys may already know about this program called Reloaders Reference software but I just found it yesterday online and it is impressive. It is a massive database program that was created by a shooter/reloader who is a computer programmer. It allows you to look up loads for calibers based on either manuals, powder companies, or bullet manufacturer sources. Here is some of the description of its features- this thing is packed with resources. It was described on the Cast Boolits forum. It was last updated by the programmer in 2008.
The Program now includes:

21102 Metallic Cartridge Loads
13577 Shotshell Loads
2816 Cast Bullet Loads
712 Surplus Powder Loads

Powley Calculator
Barsness Calculator
Alloy calculator for casters
Trajectory Calculator
Twist Rate Calc

An inventory system for firearms  with the ability to store photos
A metallic Cartridge Reloading inventory
A Complete mold reference including pictures
Powder profiles, burn rates, Grain/CC conversions
Powder charges held by common dippers
Bullet lookup for factory rounds
Factory round ballistics tables
Cartridge Case dimensions and water capacities

720 Firearms manuals

300+ Printable Targets
Ability to modify data tables directly and  add your own data.

It is free and available for download at:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=800715
The program runs on Microsoft Access database but has an option to download and run if you don't have that program on your computer.

This guy has done an amazing amount of work on this project!

yeah that is a pretty big program but you can skip the manual downloads like I did.  I just took the database and the targets, those targets were pretty good too! those loads listed are maximum loads of course so you have to work up to them in your gun. all of the loads were from documented sources in manuals, powder websites, etc. Still it would be worth it to double check since typos could happen in the creation of the program. Its just a safe practice to get several checks on a given load.
