TC Renagade sights
« on: August 31, 2003, 01:02:16 PM »
Just got a tc renagade, I would like to put different sights on it. Has anyone used the firesights? Are there scope mounts that clamp on to the barrel, it's not drilled for mounts.I plan on using it for deer hunting out to 100 yrds.

T/C Renegade Sights

Marlin, I have a Renegade. I put T/C tang peep sight on it years ago. Just this past year I put a T/C fiber optic fron sight on it. They work well together. As far as scope mounting T/C offers a weaver type scope base for traditional type muzzleloaders with a hex barrels. Right handed guns only. Useless to me I'm a lefty with a left handed Renegade. Check out this link. Good Luck.

sights for renegade

Be aware too that TC may have changed the drill holes for the rear sight of the Renegades, they did on the New Englanders.I tried a rear fiber optic sight and the holes didn't match;also found that the fiber optic sights are too small a diameter.I ended up whitening up the factory sights with paint.
For a peep sight, consider a Lyman 57-sturdier than the TC version.
