Second fox called in from the back porch...

I recently bought a 30 acre ranch in Burnet County, Texas and have been 'controlling' predators as per my wildlife tax exemption.

Back on the 28th, I called in my first gray fox with a Johnny Stewart remote-control call and shot him from my shooting bench on the back porch at abt 5:00 PM.

This next one, I got saturday night at abt 9:00 using a headlamp and the same caller. I took this picture the next morning.

The .22 in the pic is a Romanian-Trainer from the '80s. Not the prettiest gun to be sure, but they can be had cheap and they put good barrels on them. It's my "working" .22.

I have done this with the more prime pelts but for the fur buyer instead of pictures.

Actually, the bullet hit just above the left eye. Can't see it from this angle.

Thought I musta' missed at first... I walked past it in the dark, couldn't find it and thought "Damn, never touched a hair..."

Then I nearly tripped over her walking back.
