What do you folks think of Titegroup for a pistol power? I can get some and can't find Unique anywhere.

I use it all the time in 45 acp and 45 Colt. Works great, burns clean, it does however give off a little bit of smoke.

I use it alot   not for the most accurate loads but for the volume I can load with a pound with tolerable accuracy

I really like Titegroup.  It's less expensive than many other powders.  Small amounts are used per round, and it's not position sensitive.  I use it in .380, 9mm, 38 Spec., .357 mag., 454 Casull, and am looking for a plinking load to use it in my 460 S&W.  You will see warnings about double charges,  but that is true of many powders.  Be careful and enjoy!

I forgot to mention in the above post that I also use Titegroup in 45 AR and a lot in 45 ACP.  It meters great through my RCBS Uniflow and Lee Pro Auto Disk measures.  In general, I have found Hodgdon powders to be available, competitively priced, and outstanding performers.  I have four powders on my bench right now, all Hodgdon: Titegroup and H110 for my handguns, Benchmark for my rifles, and Longshot for my 12 ga.  Also, if you are a Christian, you have to respect Hodgdon's Mission Statement found on their website's home page and in the front of their manual.  There are not many companies that so publically witness to Jesus Christ - That clinched it for me, although I suspect it might cost them some sales as well.

Well I got eight pounds of it coming. At this time I am only loading pistol ammo. 9 mm, .40S&W, .38 Special and .44 Mag. And I almost for got .45 long Colt. Loading some of the .44s as .44 special for plinking. I think maybe it will work for most if not all of them.
