Hi I have one of the Pro Hunter fluted barrels in 06 and was wondering if anyone has got theres to shoot a 165 or 180 gr bullet of any kind worth bragging about to the point they would take a shot out to 300 yds, and if so what kind of load are you using?

TIA Nim

I have a regular old 24 inch Encore 30/06 barrel that does very well (3 shot groups at 100 yards under an inch) with Varget and 165 & 168 grain bullets.  It shoots well with Nosler match bullets and Hornady Interbonds but my favorite loads are with Barnes TSX and Banded Solid bullets.
