I've seen some stuff in the sproting section of Sentry Hardware, marked as Bear Lure. Haven't taken the time to look at it. Haven't read whats in it or what it is suposed to smell like. I have used Annis Oil (Smells like licorish) to lead them into the bait station. Really don't know how that really works. My hunting partner says you need to use something natural. He likes to use two large packs of Raspberry Jello poured into five gallons of water, then set the bucket on the ground near out tree stand. Raspberries do grow in the area. The smell just gets carries on the wind. Sometimes he dripples some on the trail on the way in, and other times he takes a small cup and slings some on the surrounding bushes before we climb into our stands. Seems to work OK, but remember it is classified as baiting, since we are putting down a bait (a bucket of sweet smelling raspberry water). Eventhough we take it out when we leave.
