« on: February 08, 2009, 09:30:43 AM »
figured i would share a pic of my new toy with you all. i put my bipod scope and shell holder on it. it came with a simmons 3x9-40 but i put the bushnell on it. range report soon to come. also a pic with a 223 next to 7mm, i have a feeling this thing is gona kick. also i asked the guy he said it is a 1 in 9 twist. he gave me a box of fed 150gr and a box of fed 175gr, i plan to reload some 180 berger vld bullets. im excited about my new long range project, if any of you have pointers or good input im all ears.

Congrats on your new sweetie!  I have the same basic gun in the Classic. They are fine in the recoil dept. Make sure after you zero it you get it off the bench and shoot it offhand, like you are hunting. You will see a big difference.  The twist is 1-9.5, which is standard. JeffG

My 110 does pretty well with initial tests using 150 gr Win or Rem. Have not gotten around to working with handloads or anything heavier like 175 grains, hopefully that will happen when less inclement weather arrives.

Recoil on the bench is not too bad with the 150 grainers and seems to be on par with my 30-06.
